Black & Elegant

My favorite part about working with Makara was she was a bride with a vision. She knew exactly what she wanted, so I just helped her bring that vision to life. The wedding needed to be elegant and classy, but of course, still cost effective.

For the invitations, Makara had a great idea to add actual lace detail to the invites. After going to the craft store, she fell in love with a tattered rosette trim. I designed the invitations with big blank spot for the trim, so the bride could attach the trim. I have to commend the bride for her hard work on these…. She applied the trim to all 100+ invites!

For the RSVPs, we added a vector rose to tie in with the trim. Instead of including the menu choices on the RSVP, we made an extra card outlining those choices. Between the trim, script font and black ink, these invites looked sharp!

To deliver formal invitations, there is an envelope that is addressed and another envelope that houses the invitation. We chose a white envelope with a light shimmer for the outer envelope and a metallic sliver envelope for the other envelope.

We then started on the programs for the ceremony. I love the square, tri-fold structure! We used the same ink colors and elements as the invitations to bring it all together.

Let's not forget about the most important part of a the wedding.... the food! We created a tall skinny menu using the same sliver paper and design elements to keep consistent with the theme.

We also made escort cards for the all guests. Each number indicated the table number of the guests while the different colors indicate the guest's meal choice (Purple = Chicken, Teal = Beef, etc). This was another great idea from the bride!

Save the Dates, Invitations, RSVPs, Menu Cards, Reception Cards, Escort Cards, Menus, Programs, Thank You Cards.... Phew! What a fun experience! I'm so glad we were able to make Makara's vision come to life and I wish her and Ryan the best!
